International Volunteering Camp

Introduction to the Association: The Emmaus Quarrata ODV Association is a non-profit organization committed to supporting disadvantaged individuals and promoting social inclusion through various solidarity initiatives.

Description of the Volunteering Camp: The Emmaus Quarrata ODV Association is pleased to announce its international volunteering camp, focused on activities of community redevelopment and development.

The main activities of the camp include:

Rearrangement of the Market: We are seeking creative and passionate volunteers who can contribute to making our market more vibrant and welcoming. Activities will include restructuring display spaces, adding decorations, and creating a more colorful and inviting environment for visitors.

Creation of the Carpentry and Tailoring Workshop: Participants will have the opportunity to contribute to the creation and organization of a carpentry and tailoring workshop within our facility. This workshop will be a space for learning and creation for the community, where people can acquire new skills and work on solidarity projects.

Creation of the Community Garden: We are looking for volunteers who wish to participate in the creation and care of a community garden. The garden will provide fresh and organic produce to our community and will be a place for socialization and learning for all participants.

Cultural Visits and Nature Trips:
During the volunteering camp, we will also offer cultural visits and nature trips to picturesque surrounding areas. Some possible destinations include:
Visits to historical and cultural sites in Florence and Pistoia.
Excursions in the beautiful Tuscan countryside, with walks along panoramic trails and visits to medieval villages.
Relaxing day at the beach along the Tuscan coast.
Explorations of streams and watercourses in the region, with the opportunity for picnics and outdoor activities.

 

Dates and Duration: The volunteering camp is divided into 3 shifts, candidates can enroll in multiple shifts: July 15 – 21; July 22 – 28; August 5 – 11.
Participation fee: €30

Participant Requirements:
• Minimum age: 18 years.
• Motivation and interest in promoting social inclusion.
• Open and Inclusive Mindset.
• Ability to work in groups and openness to cultural diversity.
• Respect for Gender Identity and Sexual Orientation Diversity.
• Basic knowledge of Italian or English language.
